It was a great pleasure to meet the two Alans (Big and Little Al)


I spent time on Corfu and many other locations investigating cooking, recipes and culture.


What impresses me about this book is the history behind it’s origin...


...we are literally being thrown back into bygone years when things were simple and food was wholesome and free of expensive modern intervention.


Lilly Longman cooked for the gentry back in Victorian/Edwardian days.  This book turns back time and takes us back to the days when we could all feed our family with simple, inexpensive, wholesome food.
